Sand Hill Scientific Customer Training Portal
Preparing Your PowerPoint Having a quality presentation is the first step in making good StarCast Training. There are, however, a few things you should know. In particular, PowerPoint is the starting point from which you will prepare your StarCast Training. At StarCast, we strive to make the transition from PPT as seamless as possible, but you shouldn't expect a 100% perfect translation from PowerPoint into StarCast. Please see below for Supported Animations and other tips and tricks that we have for getting your presentations to look their best. Most of our customers find that only small changes are ever needed, but we like to stress that you should ALWAYS review your presentations after publishing, and it is unwise to wait until 5 minutes before your big meeting to publish!
StarCast User Roles & Access Only Content Managers and the Site Administrator have access to the StarCast Publisher. Content Managers can publish only to their own presentations. The Site Administrator has access to all presentations.
Master Slide & slide titles StarCast is designed to automatically copy the slide titles from your presentation onto the StarCast Presentation Player for you. StarCast reads and stores the titles from the "Click to add title" area on each slide. These can be automatically formatted in the Master Slide Title Area.

If you don't wish to use the Title Areas for your slide titles, you can edit or enter your slide titles after conversion by navigating to [Content Mgt./Content/Edit Content Info./Slide Titles] in StarCast. Slide Titles in your presentation may be of any length. However, the slide titles on the StarCast Presentation Player are space limited. A general guideline is approximately 26 to 30 characters maximum. This will vary depending upon individual browser's rendering of the pages. Use the [Content Mgt./Content/Edit Content Info./Slide Titles] site area to work with your slide titles after your presentation is converted.
