Plug in your Microphone If you have not already done so, plug a compatible microphone into your computer and set the record levels to mid-range values. (Record and Playback levels are part of your Windows operating system.) After you have had some experience with how your particular system reacts to the StarCast recorder, go back and readjust the sound levels to appropriate values.

Double-Click the StarCast Recorder Icon Locate and double-click the StarCast recorder icon, which will be titled "SC Recorder". The StarCast recording tool will open and ask you to select the PowerPoint file you want to use for your e-Learning Course or Web Presentation.

Select the PowerPoint File and Click "Open" The StarCast recorder will open your PowerPoint file and automatically position it above the recording window. The StarCast recorder will start at Slide #1. To begin recording, click the record button and begin speaking into the microphone.
