starcast design logic

StarCast was developed with a unique combination of functions to help companies align and direct people in relation to their piece of the IP sphere.

Every medical company’s secret sauce is based on its intellectual property. Every person’s job related to that company stems from working with some piece of that IP. Some design, some build, others sell, a few manage. Always around the IP.

Equal parts intranet, internal training management, customer training management and document control, StarCast has push and pull tools to keep everyone informed, get your audiences up to expert knowledge levels and everyone moving in the same direction.

Architecturally, StarCast was designed around the concept of Pods, which is a new and unique concept in software. A pod encompasses a group a people in an organization with similar or related functions. A single company may have one or many Pods.

Pod architecture is based on our observation that most of the work within even the largest companies gets done by relatively small, semi-autonomous teams (pods) who know their needs regarding information flow, training, libraries, shared content, push schedules, notifications, assignments, updates and so forth. For them, top down control from a training and information sharing perspective does not work well. So we designed StarCast from the bottom up, with pod architecture and team-centric features that are useful and convenient for those in the trenches getting the work done.

As the company grows or the company’s use of StarCast grows to encompass many groups of people, StarCast invokes super-pod which connects many pods under one data umbrella. Super-pod allows cross-pod sharing of information, global pushes and top-down top-down demographic controls.

Medical Compliance

StarCast is 21 CFR, Part 11 compliant and validatable under FDA guidelines. StarCast was designed to integrate with Complaint Management, CAPA, ECN and ECO systems for training integration under GxP medical standards for medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
